Chigwell is a town and civil parish in the Epping Forest District of Essex, England. It is part of the urban and metropolitan area of London, and is adjacent to the northern boundary of Greater London. It is on the Central line of the London Underground. It is an exceptional destination steeped in history with premier roads attracting high net worth individuals and celebrity status.

Schools vary from Primary, Secondary, and Colleges. The schools include, but are not limited to, St. John Fisher Primary School, West Hatch High School, Woodbridge High School, Trinity Catholic School, Roding Valley Secondary School, West Hatch High School and Bancroft’s private school and Chigwell private school.
Epping Forest is one of the man attractions of Chigwell. Epping Forest is of national and international conservation importance and home to over 50,000 ancient pollard trees and 100 lakes and ponds. The forest is free to visit and is open 365 days of the year. When Queen Victoria visited Chingford on 6 May 1882 she declared “It gives me the greatest satisfaction to dedicate this beautiful forest to the use and enjoyment of my people for all time” and it thus became “The People’s Forest”. The City of London Corporation still manages Epping Forest in strict conformity with the Epping Forest Act.
It would be remiss not to talk about Sheesh Turkish Restaurant. Ye Olde King’s Head, which was operated as a pub until 2011 is said to be the Maypole Inn in Dickens’ Barnaby Rudge. The building was subsequently sold to local resident Lord Sugar’s property company Amsprop which now leases the Grade 1 building to Sheesh, a Turkish restaurant. Chigwell is also the home to Top Golf, Woolson Manor, Chigwell Golf Course and a David Lloyd Leisure centre. Papillon Italian Restaurant is also extremely popular in Chigwell, along with the vast range of beauty establishments, such as sunbed shops, hairdressers and nail bars. Chigwell also has many fashion boutiques specialising in women’s clothing.
Chigwell is situated just a short drive from the start of the M25 in Waltham Abbey. The M11 starts in South Woodford in northeast London, meeting the M25 Motorway at junction 6.
Stansted airport is a short drive via the M11 with Luton airport is also relatively close, being approximately a hour away with Gatwick approximately an hour and 20 minute drive.
